Edinburgh’s fashionable New Town and Old Town district which is perfect for shopping.

Edinburgh Shopping Spree

By Anita Draycott

Edinburgh is fantastic for shopping, combining new designers and old favourites, with quirky vintage stores and premier league department stores. Multrees Walk is a must for designer retail junkies, including Mulberry, Armani, Louis Vuitton and fashion addict Mecca Harvey Nichols.

Try Edinburgh’s fashionable New Town district for favourites such as Belinda Robertson cashmere, Jane Davidson, Joey D and Jenners. Or visit Edinburgh’s Old Town for great vintage shopping, and the charming cobbled William Street or stylish Stockbridge area for some unique boutiques.

  • Mary's Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children

The Edinburgh store is the first of Mary’s nationwide chain of boutique charity shops which aims to persuade shoppers to buy second hand and used designer clothing in preference to mass-produced garments from the likes of Primark, which she claims has had a negative impact on UK shopping habits.
