Enjoy the Grandeur and the Billions of Lights of the Eiffel Tower

A visit to the Eiffel Tower

You haven’t been to Paris if you don't pay the Eiffel Tower, also known as the Iron Lady, a visit. It is one of the most recognized structures in the world, and is almost always, the first thing that tourists would flock to when they visit Paris.

Although the Eiffel Tower can be seen from almost anywhere in Paris, and best viewed at night when its 5 billion lights are all ablaze, it is a must that you visit the tower too. You can climb the stairs or take the elevator to the second floor where you are afforded a panoramic view of the city. A glass lift will take you to the top where you will find the restored office of Gustave Eiffel, panoramic maps, a scale model, and a champagne bar where you can have drinks while enjoying the sights, day or night. It is truly a marvel!

About the Eiffel Tower

Named after Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, a French civil engineer and architect who oversaw the building of the Eiffel Tower in 1889 for the Universal Exposition in Paris, the Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower measuring 324 meters high with a base square of 125 meters on a side. It was meant to be a temporary installation that would last for 20 years. In fact, it was almost demolished in 1909, but city officials realized that it was perfect for a radiotelegraph station. The Eiffel Tower has withstood the test of time and is now a majestic icon of France.

Eiffel Tower has 3 levels. The 1st and 2nd level has restaurants while the third is an observatory located about 276 meters above the ground. Recently, the 125 year old structure was updated by putting glass floor on the first level. Now, the visitors can enjoy the breathtaking views of Paris all around them.

If I were you, I would lay on the glass floor and take a selfie...trust me; your friends will be envious. Now you know why the Eiffel Tower is so overdone. Its allure seems to never fade!

Be blown away by its magnificence! Book your to Paris today!
