The Melia Cayo Coco is connected to the mainland Cuba by a stone causeway that runs 17 kilometers over the sea. The resort proper occupies 11,600 square meters of prime beach property.

Accommodations at the resort are divided into superior rooms, junior suites, and deluxe lagoon suites.
