Amboseli is one of the best wildlife viewing parks in the world. Apart from the African Big Five that comprises of lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos and leopards, the park have the African crocodiles, the zebras, giraffes, antelopes, monkeys and baboons, hyenas, ostriches, peacocks and many more.

Things To Do When On An Adventure Tour In The Amboseli National Park

Kenya, a country located on the East African Coast is one of the most naturally endowed countries in the world. That it bestrides the Equator and is an English speaking country makes it ideal as a travel destination, but what really draws visitors from far and wide is the diverse wildlife in the country's more than 20 national parks.

One such national park is the 8,000-square kilometers Amboseli National Park that is located in the country's south, next to the even more popular Maasai Mara National Reserve. Below are some of the activities you can engage in while at the Amboseli National Park

1. Wildlife Viewing

2. Hot Air Balloon Rides

If there is one thing you must not miss when in the Amboseli-Mara region is a balloon ride. Trust me; you cannot help but marvel at the beauty found in the park. From the savannah grasslands to Nyika plateau to the tropical rainforests to beautiful wildlife, the scene is breathtaking.

3. A cultural Dance from the Maa Community

The Maasai communities that live in the surrounding area are the most popular ethnic group in Africa. They have managed to maintain their culture in a country that has adopted the Western way of life. Their traditional dance is perhaps the second most popular after the Zulu dance in South Africa.

4. Photography

Amboseli National Park gives the beautiful backdrop of the scenic, ice-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world and Africa's highest point. The African jungle is not as thick as the one in Amazon, giving it a peculiar warm look. In fact, the Savannah Grassland is the African equal of the rolling prairies of the Americas.

In short, a visit to the Amboseli National Park will be your ultimate jungle adventure. If I were you, I would camp in the wild and watch as the beautiful African night unfolds! Beware the lion roars at night - some people have been known to pee their pants with fright.
