Tie the Knot at the Picturesque Beach in Bermuda: Jobson's Cove

When considering a beach wedding, you should identify what the main characteristic of the beach must be. If you are considering seclusion with a scenery that should be memorable and difficult to find anywhere else, then choose Jobson Cove in Bermuda.

Tie the Knot at the Picturesque Beach in Bermuda: Jobson's Cove

Located in the parish of Warwick on the island of Bermuda, there is a secluded oasis perfect for weddings. It features a small beach with cliffs on both sides, clear turquoise water, shallow enough for a "trash the dress" session after the wedding. This sheltered cove makes it a fantastic setting for your destination wedding.

This picture-perfect beach with its pink sands, gentle waves and calm waters gives the feel of a serene hideaway. The rocks of the cliff  do an amazing job of blocking out the constant sea breeze. So unlike most other beaches, the atmosphere is extremely calm at the Jobson's cove.
This cove is like a small naturally protected swimming pool. You can also climb the rocks for a view of the ocean and have some private time with your new spouse.

Because the cove is a public beach, you would have to make arrangements with the Department of Parks to reserve the beach for your Big Day. Jobson's Cove is linked by trails to the Warwick Long Bay and is near to several hotels such as the The Reefs, one of the luxury resorts in the Caribbean or the Fairmount South Hamptons Resort.

There are several experienced wedding planners on the islands and at several of the nearby resorts that you can employ to coordinate your wedding day.

For your wedding day or simply renewing your vows, choose Jobson's Cove, a secluded haven, for your special day.

Download a Notice of Intended Marriage form or request one from the Bermuda Government's Registrar General's office.
Fill out the form and mail it back to the Registrar General along with a cashier's cheque or bank draft made payable to the Accountant General, Hamilton, Bermuda, in the amount of US$341 (includes certificate). This submitted notice will result in a wedding license valid for three months. You or a designated person may pick up this license at the Registrar office.

STEP 2 - Choose a Wedding Location
Your many options fall into two categories:
Civil ceremonies may be performed in the Registry General's Marriage Room. OR Ceremonies may be held in a church or other location with the consent of a member of the clergy.

STEP 3 - Ensure You Have Two Witnesses
The witnesses must be over 18 years of age and must be present at the ceremony. The Registrar will happily supply witnesses but Monday to Friday only.
