And the award goes to: Aruba vs curacao

Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao forms what is popularly known as the ABC Islands. Collectively, Aruba, Curacao, The Netherlands and St. Maarten form what is today known as the Kingdom of Netherlands.

Aruba features some dry climate and has cactus-strewn landscape. It lies well outside the hurricane belt about 990 miles west of Lesser Antiles and about 18 miles north of the coast of Venezuela. The island is popular for its constantly warm climate.

Curacao on the other hand is made up of the main island of Curacao and the small unoccupied Klein Curacao. Most of the travellers who get to this island are on crtuise ships. In 2013, the island received a total of 610,186 cruise passengers. It is also expected that the Lynx rocket plane will be taking adventure seekers on to a sub-orbital tour. Scuba diving and snorkeling are also common attractions to visitors.

Aruba has been a great destination. Its warm climate represents what has been great about a vacation to the Caribbean. Contrastingly, Curacao is the new thing. It has diversified the tourism package to such things as cruising, sub-orbital tours etc. It is heavily investing in high-end resorts and facilities.

So, the award goes to Curacao. It is the future. It is the place to watch and add to the bucketlist. It is off the beaten path and you will actually have some bragging rights among your buddies if you get to visit it. Welcome to Curacao!
