Explore the neighborhoods of San Francisco

San Francisco boasts the tag of being the financial, cultural and commercial capital of Northern California in the United States.

San Francisco is popular with travellers for the following reasons;

• Cool Summers
• Fog and steep rolling hills
• Eclectic mix of architecture
• Popular landmarks such as Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, the former prison in Alcatraz Island and the Chinatown district.
• It is home to popular companies such as Uber, Pininterest, Yelp, Gap Inc., Craiglist, Mozilla, Twitter, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

The city of San Francisco has a total of 119 neighborhoods, but for simplicity, they are divided into 5 broad districts that correspond to the 4 quadrants as well as the south central district. These districts (moving clockwise on the quadrant) include;

• Central/Downtown
• Richmond
• Sunset
• Upper Market and Beyond
• Bernal Heights/Bayview and Beyond
