Travel Tips:Top Holiday Activities For the Well-heeled

I envy the rich - and I am not the jealous type. I envy them not because they are richer than me, but because of what their money can do for them. I envy them not because of their possessions, but because of what they can do with their possessions. As advetureseekers, they can visit so many places, experience so many cultures, and get to sample hundreds of delicacies from all corners of the world. They can make friends with all kind of people and sightsee the most beautiful destinations on our good old earth.

If you are well-heeled and are yet to see the world, you are missing a lot. This is why I have purposely written this blog for to show you just how your wealth can work for you. Check the list below and see what you are missing.

1. Sailing

You own a yacht and are yet to see the Great Blue Hole of Belize, The Northern Lights of the North Pole, The Great Barrier Reef of Australia? You own a yacht and are yet to dock in Thailand's Phuket, Fiji uninhabited Islands, Chile's Easter Island and a host of exotic Caribbean Destinations? Surely you can take a year off your company and enjoy some of your wealth...life is too short not to have experienced this.

2. Golfing in Maui

There are tens of golf resorts in Maui that you can probably afford and enjoy some fresh air. Trust me; you do not want to grow some mould in that corner office you so cherish. Get out and meet some fun people. Here, people will not try to take food out of your mouth...rather, they would be happy you chose to visit them.

3. Ride a Hot Air Balloon Across the Grand Canyon

From Albuquerque, you can board a hot air balloon and enjoy one of nature's gifts to man - the Grand Canyon. Talking of hot air balloons, why don't you head to Kenya in East Africa and ride a hot air balloon as you see the over 1.2 million wildebeests making their migration in Maasai Mara National Reserve? Actually, you can also ride a balloon over the ancient Turkish lunar-like city of Cappadocia.

4. Ride Cable Cars and Ski at St. Moritz in Switzerland

I am sure you can afford a vacation in the Swiss resort village of St. Moritz. Here, you will get to meet other rich folks like you who have realized that life is too short not to enjoy it. While at it, why not pass over the Austrian city of Innsbruck and have some fun there too?

5. Cruise to Antarctica

Don't tell me you own a cruising ship company and read about the Arctic and Antarctica in travel magazines like the rest of us. You own the company man...just hop into the ship and head out there. Actually, you can mix business with pleasure by just having your techies fix some technical gizmos in your cabin that will allow you to reach any place on earth.

Now you know why I envy rich people. I envy them because unlike them, I know life is short and I need to see as much of my planet as I can before I kick the bucket!
